Change Could Be Coming To New York State Alcohol Laws

State lawmakers are considering changing the law that prohibits restaurants from selling alcohol before noon on Sundays, commonly known as a blue law, allowing restaurants to sell alcohol starting at 8 a.m., according to Time Warner Cable News.

New York State Senator Sue Serino is a small business owner and says she still has to speak to business owners and constituents but currently supports changing the law, according to Time Warner Cable News.

Serino said lawmakers have not discussed the measure yet in their conference, according to Time Warner Cable News.
