Amelia R. Sculco, 85, Of Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Amelia R. Sculco, of Hyde Park, died Aug. 30. She was 85. 

She was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Millbrook.

She was a sheet inspector for Kem Cards in Poughkeepsie up until her retirement. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Italian Center and Our Lady of Mount Carmel both in Poughkeepsie. 

Survivors include her sons, Dominick A. Sculco and his wife Bonnie of the Town of Newburgh, Philip F. Sculco of Hyde Park, and Michael Sculco of Hyde Park; brother, Philip Magnarella of Naples Fla.; step-grandson, Kevin Monroe and his wife Samantha of South Carolina; great-granddaughter, Emma Monroe; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family would like to thank the second-floor nursing staff, aides and physical therapist team at Lutheran Care Center for their great care. 

Calling hours will take place from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 218 Mill St., Poughkeepsie. Street-level and wheelchair-accessible entrance off Vassar Street. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
