Alice Theresa Hart, 82, Of Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. – Alice Theresa Hart, of Hyde Park, died Monday, Nov. 23 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 82.

Hart was born July 10, 1933, in Dunmore, Pa. to John F. and Mary Ferguson Walsh, graduating from Dunmore High School and the University of Scranton.

She worked for Dairylea Milk and in the payroll department at Hudson River State Hospital, retiring in May 1996.

Hart was predeceased by her parents, her husband Thomas Sr., brother John Walsh Jr., sister Mary McLaine, and twin sister Ann Gaughan.

She is survived by four sons, Tom Jr., Jim of Staatsburg, Jack and wife Marisa of Garner, N.C., Joe and Robin of New Fairfield, Conn. and Tarpon Springs, Fla., daughter-in-law Linda of Hudson Falls, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Sweet's Funeral Home on Route 9 in Hyde Park.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter's Parish, 185 Hudson View Drive, Poughkeepsie.

Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcomed to Dutchess Dialysis, 2585 South Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
