Woman Attempting To Cross Hudson Valley Roadway Struck, Killed By Vehicle, Police Say
A woman was killed while attempting to cross a roadway in the region, according to authorities. The incident happened around 6:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14 in Dutchess County on Route 9 at Clove Road in the Town of Fishkill. Responding officers located an unconscious woman in the roadway with serious injuries, Town of Fishkill said. Five Nabbed For Prostitution After Detail At Hotel In Hudson Valley
Five people have been arrested following a prostitution bust at a hotel in the region. All five suspects were apprehended in Dutchess County Wednesday, April 27, in the Town of Fishkill after local and state police targeted prostitution and other illegal activity at the Extended Stay America on West Merritt Boulevard, Fishkill Police said. In addition to the prostitution charges, some were also busted for criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. Police did not release the names of those charged. Man Ramming Vehicles In Stolen Car Nabbed After Crash, Police Say
A 32-year-old man was charged with numerous crimes after allegedly stealing a Dodge Charger during a burglary in the area and ramming numerous vehicles including police cruisers. Malachi Hunter, a former New Jersey resident, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 9, in Dutchess County after crashing head-on into a City of Poughkeepsie police car. The incident with Hunter began when police received a 911 call regarding an erratic driver attempting to run over people in the area of 52 Gifford Ave., said Detective Lt. Missing 12-Year-Old Girl Found
Update: A 12-year-old girl who went missing in the area has been found. State police in the Hudson Valley have issued an alert Friday, Jan. 24, for a 12-year-old runaway from Woodlands Court in the town of Wappinger.
