Hudson Valley Police Vehicle Involved In Rollover Crash, Officer Injured A Hudson Valley police officer was injured when his vehicle hit a curb, and then a tree before rolling over while attempting to avoid another driver who allegedly cut him off in traffic. Woman Airlifted To Hospital After Crash Between Car, Tractor-Trailer In Orange County A Hudson Valley woman was seriously injured following a crash with a tractor-trailer. The crash took place in Orange County around 11:15 a.m., Thursday, June 1 in the town of Newburgh. According to Lt, Peter Talarico, of the town of Newburgh Police, officers on the scene found an accident involving a 2008 Infinity and a 2002 tractor-trailer.  Preliminary investigations show the tractor-trailer,  driven by a 42-year-old Sullivan County man from Wurtsboro, was traveling southbound on Route 300. The Town of New Windsor Police Department will be increasing their patrol presence in the 5 Corners area of Vails Gate, beginning on Monday, Sept. 24. Man, 27, Killed After Crashing Into Pole On Route 300 A 27-year-old man was killed in an early morning crash after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a utility pole, according to Town of Newburgh Police. Christopher Page, 27, of the Hamlet of Wallkill, was traveling north on Route 300 at 6:45 a.m. Monday, when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a utility pole at the intersection of Union Avenue, said Lt. James Nenni. Page was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, Nenni added. Nenni said that Page was alone and that no other vehicles were involved.
