Stranded, Seething: 2.5K Southwest Flight Cancellations Leave Passengers In Post-Christmas Mess
More than 2,500 Southwest Airlines flights were canceled and 8,3072 delayed as of Wednesday, Dec. 28, leaving even more passengers across the US stranded and seething. Woman Arrested At LaGuardia Airport For Trying To Bring Loaded Revolver Through Security
A woman was arrested after officials said she tried to board a flight at LaGuardia Airport with a loaded revolver. The Louisiana woman was brought into custody on Monday, Nov. 28, after she was prevented by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers from bringing the .38 caliber revolver handgun through the security checkpoint. A TSA officer saw the handgun on the X-ray machine's monitor when the woman's belongings entered the X-ray unit, according to the report. A brand-new terminal at LaGuardia Airport will officially open in the coming days, marking the completion of the $4 billion construction project. TSA Officers Stop Man From Carrying Handgun Onto Flight At LGA
Transportation Security Administration officers stopped a Fairfield County man from carrying a handgun onto his flight at LaGuardia Airport. The Darien man was detained on the morning of Monday, Jan. 10, after a TSA officer saw the .38 caliber handgun on the checkpoint X-ray machine's monitor, the TSA announced. TSA said the gun wasn't loaded. Port Authority Police responded to the checkpoint and brought the man in for questioning before they arrested him on weapons charges.
