Hudson Valley Woman Dies In House Fire Trying To Save Cats A 46-year-old woman died in a house trailer fire in the region, reportedly attempting to save her cats. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 125 Reagans Mill Road in Dover around 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 25. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, Ellen R. Dutchess County resident Shaquille Heirs, age 29, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested Thursday, April 25, after he was captured in the town of Poughkeepsie.  According to Det. Sgt. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 2:44 p.m. on Friday, April 19, in the area of 86 Smith St., in Poughkeepsie. According to the City of Poughkeepsie Police, officers responding to the report of a shot fired found a 15-year-old suffering from a severe gunshot wound to the leg.
