The driver of a one-wheeled electric skateboard was seriously injured during a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The crash took place around 2:43 a.m., on Tuesday, July 13, in Orange County. New Windsor Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Windsor Highway and Union Avenue, Chief Robert Doss said. A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured after falling off his bicycle and hitting his head on the pavement. The incident took place in Ulster County around 2:15 p.m., Monday, June 8, when the Saugerties Police responded to a call for help at 10 Oakledge Park Road with DIAZ Ambulance. A 14-year-old Spring Valley teen was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup truck. The incident happened around 9:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, at the intersection of North Cole Avenue and Stephens Place, said Spring Valley Police Officer Matthew Galli. AAA is calling on drivers to be more alert, and cyclists and pedestrians to be more aware on the roadways as the number of fatal hit-and-runs spiked to an all-time high.
