8-Year-Old Has Surprise Party With Police In Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, N.Y. -- Nicole and Michael Restuccia wanted to make their son Joel's eighth birthday special so when it looked like a lot of Joel's friends wouldn't be able to make it to his surprise birthday, Nicole took a chance and posted a message on Facebook, according to Time Warner Cable News.

New York State Police were among the agencies to get in on the surprise.

Word got around that the party was police themed and eventually the Town of Montgomery police, Village of Walden police, Orange County SWAT team and New York State Police all ended up attending the party and getting in on the surprise, according to Time Warner Cable News.

At the age of eight, Joel has wanted to become a police officer for at least two years now and his dad said the surprise with law enforcement, will reinforce his passion, according to Time Warner Cable News.
