Wrong-Way Westchester Driver Was Drunk, Police Say
A 28-year-old Yorktown man was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol on Wednesday following a complaint of a wrong-way driver on the Taconic State Parkway. New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Andrew R. Kothe for DWAI with a prior conviction within 10 years, a class E felony. At about 12:30 a.m., state troopers received a complaint of a wrong-way driver on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown in the area of the walkway bridge.
