NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The future of New Rochelle was on display on Thursday afternoon, as friends, family and well-wishers celebrated the Class of 2015 at the high school commencement ceremony.

More than 300 of the best and brightest students New Rochelle has to offer waved goodbye to the high school they’ve called home for four years, as they flipped their tassels from right to left as they accepted their diplomas and move forward to college and careers.

To celebrate the Class of 2015, the Board of Education premiered an end-of-year video of the seniors, a production which was spearheaded by students Faith Cosentino and Olivia Quinones, under the supervision of advisor Steve Brown.

Speakers at the 118th New Rochelle High School commencement ceremony included Valedictorian David Schwartz, Salutatorian Jake Reifer, class President Heather Manley and featured speaker Laura Barajas. Appearances were also made by Mayor Noam Bramson, Superintendent of Schools Brian Osborne and Board of Education President Lianne Merchant and member Chrisanne Petrone, who each had sons graduating from the high school.
