Lt. Joseph Narciso and firefighter Hugo Perez said they were the first to get to the four-story Centre Avenue apartment building and saw many residents huddled in the lobby. They spoke Spanish to the residents to help get them out safely, they said on the lohud video.

Firefighters continued to check for anyone remaining in the building while others worked to put out the fire. Fire officials said the fire appears to have started with an electrical problem on the third floor, they said on the lohud video.

No one was injured.
