Overnight Tractor-Trailer Accident Snarls Traffic On I-95 In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- All lanes reopened just before noon Wednesday after an overnight crash involving two tractor-trailers on northbound I-95 in New Rochelle Wednesday.

Two lanes had been blocked for the entire morning commute.

Congested and stopped traffic is reported in the area with heavy delays from the accident, which occurred at about 2:25 a.m. One truck was reportedly jackknifed.

The accident was near Exit 16 for North Avenue/Cedar Street. Traffic was backed up into the Bronx.
