A fawn fell nearly 30 feet into a dry well on Pine Brook Boulevard on Wednesday, prompting an emergency response from the fire department, officials said.

A homeowner stated that she could hear the baby deer crying from the well, which prompted her to alert officials. Nearly a dozen firefighters took approximately 45 minutes to rescue the fawn from the well.

Once rescued, the fawn was released, uninjured.
