MSC Hosts Lunch for Better Schools Bonanza Contest

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – PTA members, school officials and public relations representatives from school districts throughout Westchester came to a lunch at the Radisson Hotel Thursday to hear about Main Street Connect and its recently launched Better Schools Bonanza competition.

Better Schools Bonanza is a contest that runs until Oct. 28 and gives residents a chance to win money for local elementary schools.

Carll Tucker, publisher and founder of Main Street Connect, which launched 32 hyperlocal news sites throughout Westchester County on June 1, said the company aims to be the must-read site for local news and information in each community it serves.

"I am always delighted to share the story of MSC with our neighbors," Tucker said. "Every time I tell it, people are excited and thrilled to hear about the way we plan to bring local news and information to their hometowns."

Sign up at your local Main Street Connect website and vote for your favorite elementary school. The school with the most votes will take home $10,000. The runner-up will receive $1,000, and any school that gets 500 votes automatically wins $500.
