To accomplish this, the library is conducting a brief survey to gather suggestions and comments from the town.
The 13-question survey can be completed on the website. You can also visit the library to complete the form on an electronic kiosk or paper copy.
“A strong strategic plan will chart the course to a strong future for our library,” said library Director Thomas Geoffino. “The most important aspect to building that plan is community involvement.”
In addition to the questionnaire, library officials are looking for people who use the library and are willing to spend 60-90 minutes thinking about ways it can improve its services, collections, policies and facility.
These individuals will be invited to attend small discussion and focus groups, facilitated by Library Development Solutions of Princeton, N.J.
Those interested in participating in the groups should call the community relations office at 914-813-3706 for dates and times.
The library will also be hosting two town meetings to which the entire community is invited to discuss the new plan.
