Douglas “D-Loc” Smith, a member of the 150 Clan gang that operates in the area of Elm Street in Yonkers, has been sentenced to a term of eight and a half years in prison.

Smith was among eight members of the gang who were arrested in September last year following the eight-month “Operation: 150 Clan” investigation, though the shooting happened on June 9.

Smith pleaded guilty earlier this year to attempted second-degree murder and fourth-degree conspiracy, both felonies, after shooting a man in the leg last year. A second bullet reportedly missed his intended victim’s head.

“Gangs and illegal guns have no place in our communities, and these on-going investigations and arrests are a testament to the Yonkers Police Department’s resolve to keep Yonkers one of the safest cities in America,” Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner said in a statement last year.
