A man and woman were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Long Island overnight.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. Monday, July 11 on the eastbound Southern State Parkway near Exit 40 in the town of Islip.
State Police say when troopers arrived, a Land Rover was observed against a tree on the southside shoulder fully engulfed in flames.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 eastbound near Exit 35 in Babylon.
The driver, Nancy Brady, age 58, of West Sayville, was traveling eastbound, in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, on the Southern State Parkway when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and caught on fire, state police said.

The vehicle, a 2002 Ford Econoline van, was fully engulfed, in Coram on County Road 83, just north of Pine Road, when emergency responders arrived at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18.
The victim, a passenger now identified as Hameedei Saad, age 41, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

It happened on Tuesday, April 7 at around 8:21 p.m. in Mastic.
