Teens Steal Religious Items From Jewish Center In Kings Point, Police Say
A teen duo was arrested after police say they broke into a Long Island Chabad and stole multiple items of religious significance.
It happened on Monday, Oct. 16 in Kings Point, according to Nassau County Police.
At approximately 2 p.m., a pair of teen girls went into the Chabad of Great Neck, located at 400 East Shore Road, using a side door that was unlocked.
Once inside, the duo stole religious items, including Seder candles, a bag of Tefillin prayer straps, keys, and assorted coins.
They fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police are searching for a man who they say stole $18,000 worth of euros from a car while it was parked at a Long Island diner.
On Friday, June 30, the victim, a 38-year-old man, went to a bank in New Hyde Park to exchange $18,500 for approximately 16,959 euros, according to the Nassau County Police.
After leaving the bank, the victim put the money inside the glove box of his Nissan Altima and drove to the Williston Diner, located at 112 Hillside Avenue.

Trio Steals Multiple Tires, Rims From Nassau County Dealerships, Police Say
Three men accused of stealing multiple car tires and rims from Long Island dealerships have been arrested.
Chase Barret, age 33, of Astoria; Eldorado Sterling, age 29, of Queens; and Jovanie Clarke, age 29, of Queens, were arrested on Sunday, April 2 following a traffic stop in Woodbury, according to Nassau County Police.
Officers spotted them at around 2 a.m. in a white Ford Econoline van traveling on Jericho Turnpike. The vehicle had been involved in multiple previous larcenies, police said.
