The incident took place off Shoreham Beach around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19. Teenage Surfer Bitten By Shark In Brand-New Long Island Incident A teenage surfer was bit by a shark on Long Island, the latest of six bites in the past three weeks.
