Thief Snags $91K In Silver Bars From Long Island UPS Facility, Police Say Police are asking for help in identifying a man suspected of stealing silver bars from a shipping business on Long Island. Suffolk County Police said the man walked into a UPS facility in East Farmingdale, located on Smith Street, shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and showed the employee a fake ID. He then stole a package containing approximately $91,000 worth of silver bars, police said. The man was last seen fleeing in a dark-colored SUV, which was captured on surveillance footage. ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy Long Island Roadway Police on Long Island have released the identity of a man killed while crossing a busy highway. Ralph Alexandre, age 36, was killed around 4:50 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2, on northbound Route 110 in East Farmingdale in Suffolk County. According to investigators, Jeremie Jean, age 52, of Amityville, was driving a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder northbound on Route 110, approaching Smith Street, when his vehicle struck Alexandre, who was running across the road. Suspect At Large After Man Critically Injured In Long Island Stabbing Detectives are investigating a stabbing that critically injured a man on Long Island. The incident took place around 2:50 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, when the victim was found with stab wounds in East Farmingdale, on Smith Street, east of Route 110, said the Suffolk County Police.
