Fire officials said that crews responded to Hampshire Drive in Farmingdale shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, when a fire broke out in an area home. The fire quickly spread, with flames visible and smoke billowing through doors, windows and the roof. causing extensive damage to the home. The occupants of the home were able to escape safely, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
