Deer Rescued From Icy Waters On Long Island Using an ice sled and lines, police rescued a deer that had fallen through the ice on a Long Island bay.  The incident began around 4:18 p.m., when a Smith Point Park Ranger reported a deer stuck in the ice at Narrow Bay, off Smith Point County Park, in Shirley, said the Suffolk County Police. Police officers from the department's Marine Unit responded including Robert Daniels, Robert King, and Gary Quenzer responded.  The officer rescues the deer.Suffolk County Police Department King deployed an ice sled while officers Daniels and Quenzer tended the line on the sled. Peter Scolari, Emmy-Winning Actor From New York Dies At 66 Emmy-winning actor Peter Scolari, a New York native known for his co-starring role with Tom Hanks in the ABC comedy “Bosom Buddies,” died at the age of 66 following a two-year battle with cancer. A Westchester County native, Scolari, from New Rochelle, died on Friday, Oct. 22, his manager, Ellen Lupin Sanitsky announced. The veteran actor got his big break on “Bosom Buddies” but also appeared in multiple films, tv series, including famed parts in “Newhart,” “Murphy Brown,” “The Good Fight,” and won an Emmy for his portrayal of Ted Horvath on "Girls" in 2016.
