Calvin Bautista, a resident of Richmond Hill in Queens, was arraigned on Tuesday, Oct. 4, on an indictment charging him with smuggling three Burmese pythons into the United States at the Champlain Port of Entry, according to United States Attorney Carla Freedman. One Killed In Crash Involving FedEx Vehicle On Long Island Expressway This story has been updated. One person was killed in an overnight crash involving a FedEx vehicle on the Long Island Expressway. It happened around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 in Ronkonkoma. A 2018 Honda sedan, driven by Stephen Neville, age 29, of Lake Ronkonkoma, collided with a 2017 Nissan sedan, driven by Xavier Rodriguez, age 19, of Centereach, on the eastbound Long Island Expressway as the two vehicles were attempting to turn onto Exit 60, Suffolk County Police said.  The Honda came to a stop in the center lane and the Nissan stopped on the exit ramp, according to police.
