A Long Island man is facing multiple after he allegedly sped and drove drunk, flipping his car and injuring two other people, authorities announced.
George Moore, age 40 of Freeport, was arraigned for the incident on Wednesday, Feb. 28, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
Moore, who works as a detective in the New York City Police Department, was reportedly driving drunk and aggressively to his job in Queens on August 4, 2023, when the crash happened.

A Long Island man was arrested after he allegedly set a couple’s cars and home on fire while they slept, police said.
It happened on Tuesday, Dec. 5 in Rockville Centre, according to Nassau County Police.
At approximately 5 a.m., a North Forest Avenue couple was sleeping in their second-floor bedroom when they were awoken by a loud noise.

A Long Island man is facing DWI charges after he allegedly caused an ATV crash that sent a 26-year-old woman to the hospital.
