Broken Pipe At Long Island Building Leads To Weapons Possession Charges For 25-Year-Old A 25-year-old man was arrested for illegally possessing a gun after a maintenance person told police that a broken pipe was caused by a gunshot, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Police initially arrived at the scene for a miscellaneous complaint at 208 Ellington Avenue in East Garden City on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at approximately 7:25 p.m. Officers were informed by the building's maintenance staff about the shot pipe, and observed suspects jumping from a second-floor balcony and an object falling to the ground, according to police.  Police later determined that the obje…
