LI Man Charged With Robbing Hotel: Was Already In Jail, Police Say A Long Island man who was already in jail for another robbery and subsequent police chase faces more charges after allegedly stealing cash from a hotel's register in Westchester.  The incident happened on Saturday, Feb. 11 around 4:45 a.m., when police in the city of Rye responded to the Courtyard Marriott located at 631 Midland Ave. for a reported robbery.  Upon arriving, the hotel's front desk agent told officers that a man had entered the hotel around 4:40 a.m. and had demanded money from the register.
