Intoxicated Driver Crashes Into Utility Police On Long Island, Police Say A 57-year-old man was charged after police said he drove while intoxicated and crashed into a utility pole on Long Island. John Wrynn, of Sag Harbor, was arrested at about 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, following a crash in North Haven, the Southampton Town Police Department said. Authorities said Wrynn was driving east on Ferry Road when he traveled off the road and struck a utility pole. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police reported.

Authorities On Long Island Search For Missing Kayaker Authorities on Long Island are searching for a missing kayaker.  The Southampton Town Police Department reported that it received a call on Thursday, Oct. 20, that 32-year-old Dario Cholula, of Queens, was missing after he went out fishing in the area of North Haven on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Cholula was last seen between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Wednesday, police said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, authorities reported.
