Teen Suspect Nabbed After Armed Robbery At Mobil Station In Hicksville A teenage suspect has been apprehended after an armed robbery at a Long Island gas station. The suspect walked into the Mobil located in Hicksville at 285 North Broadway at about 3:40and approached the 56-year-old male cashier, Nassau County Police said. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money.  The victim, fearing for his life, complied and gave the subject approximately $900.  The subject then fled the gas station on foot.  Officers located the teen a short time later on Bay Avenue and as officers were attempting to place 18-year-old Angel Echeverria…

Fatal Crash: Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Collision At Hicksville Intersection An investigation is underway after a midday crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6 in Hicksville. A 20-year-old man operating a 2019 Toyota 4Runner was traveling eastbound on Princess Street attempting to make a right-hand turn onto North Broadway where he collided with an adult male bicyclist. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician. His identity has not yet been released. The 4runner driver remained at scene.  The investigation is ongoing.  This is a developing story…
