Long Island resident Borndivine Intelligence Jackson, age 26, of Bellport, was formally indicted on weapons charges Friday, Oct. 28, in Suffolk County Court. Prosecutors said Jackson ran from Suffolk County Police officers in June 2022 during a search for a suspect in an unrelated shooting investigation in Shirley. Two Hospitalized After Crash At Long Island Intersection Two people were hospitalized following a crash at a Long Island intersection. Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Neighborhood Road and Havenwood Drive in Shirley at about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, according to the Mastic Beach Fire Department. Authorities did not release details about the two people who were hospitalized. Mastic Beach Ambulance and the Suffolk County Police Department also responded to the scene, the fire department said.

Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Near Long Island Intersection Police are investigating a fatal shooting near a Long Island intersection. Officers responded to Flower Road, near Neighborhood Road in Shirley, after a man was shot in the street at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, Suffolk County Police said. Daniel Decosta, age 34, of Coram, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
