A Long Island man has pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and related charges for an August 2023 high-speed, head-on crash that killed a husband and wife and which he allegedly was driving drunk at twice the legal legal.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 12, 2023, in Laurel Hollow.

A Long Island man has been indicted for his alleged role in a fatal DWI crash that killed a husband and wife, orphaning their two children.
On Tuesday, Oct. 3, Sotirios Spanos, age 33 of Syosset, was arraigned on charges including vehicular homicide for an August 2023 crash that killed fellow Syosset residents Ismenia and Odalis Ureña, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
