A Long Island man has been arrested following an ongoing investigation into the sale of cocaine in the area. Arthur Corso, age 58, of Island Park, was arrested in Long Beach on Thursday, Jan. 27, by the Nassau County Police. According to Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, an ongoing investigation into the sale of cocaine was being conducted in the Island Park area. One Dead After Nine Swimmers Pulled From Ocean Off Nassau County Coast
One person died and eight others were rescued after being pulled from the ocean off a beach on Long Island. The City of Long Beach Fire Department was alerted for a water rescue shortly before 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9 at Monroe Boulevard and the Ocean Beach Park, where swimmers were reportedly in distress. Fire officials said that first responders and lifeguards found a total of 10 people that needed to be rescued both in the water and stranded on a jetty. Two Nabbed Attempting To Steal Mail In Nassau County, Police Say
Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing mail from a mailbox on Long Beach. The men were caught Wednesday, Jan. 15, trying to remove mail from a box on East Park Avenue and Monroe Boulevard in Long Beach, according to News 12 Long Island. When caught, the men fled in a BMW, crashing into several vehicles, including a police car. Following a crash, the men jumped out of the vehicle and ran down Roosevelt Boulevard before officers were able to capture them. Police said the investigation is continuing.
