ID Released For 30-Year-Old Killed In Hit-Run Island Park Crash Police have identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash near a Long Island intersection. It happened around 9:05 p.m. Monday, July 11 in Island Park. A 30-year-old man was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Long Beach Road, north of Marina Place, Nassau County Police said.  The vehicle fled the scene. The victim, now identified as Dodanim Emanuel Chavez, age 30, of Island Park. suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician. Nassau County Man Accused Of DWI With Child Passenger, Crashing Into Parked Vehicles A Long Island man was arrested and accused of driving while intoxicated and crashing an SUV, with a 4-year-old passenger, into multiple parked vehicles. Christopher Stoger, age 41, of Island Park, was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15, according to the Nassau County Police Department. NCPD said Stoger was driving a 2019 Chevrolet SUV and struck a parked vehicle on Marina Place in the area of Long Beach Road in Island Park.
