Bellport Man Arrested 46 Times, Nabbed For 10 Larcenies
A Long Island man who police say has been arrested 46 times has been charged with 10 new larcenies across the region.
Emmitt Smith, age 43, of Bellport, was charged on Wednesday, April 24, with the larcenies that occurred across Nassau County, according to Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, an investigation was conducted that led to the arrest of Smith for the following larcenies:

Trio Smuggles Merch From Marshalls, Kohl's In Oceanside
Police arrested three people who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Long Island stores.
On Thursday, Dec. 7, the trio were caught in the parking lot of the Oceanside Marshalls, located at 3544 Long Beach Road.
The three Hempstead residents — Kevin Joyner, age 56; Lori Menendez, age 47; and Richard Dean, age 39 — were hiding $1,428 worth of goods they snuck out of the store, according to Nassau County Police.
After their arrests, police discovered that the group had also struck at a Kohl’s down the street, taking a total of $1019.91 worth of wares.

Long Island Man Caught Masturbating Around Kids In Kohl's Store: Police
A 27-year-old Long Island man is facing charges after masturbating in a Kohl's store, authorities said.
Christopher Honnold, of Smithtown, was walking around the store in Secaucus, New Jersey, around 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, "gratifying himself in view of the public where children under the age of 13 could observe him," Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
Honnold left the store after being approached by a loss prevention officer, but surrendered to Secaucus police on Monday, March 6, and was charged with sexual assault. He was lodged in the Hudson County Jail.

Busy Duo Stole $15k Worth Of Merch From 14 Nassau County Stores, Police Say
Two men are behind bars after allegedly going on a shoplifting spree that netted them thousands of dollars in merchandise from numerous Long Island stores.
Oreall Thomas, age 47, and Shaun Williams, age 52, both of Freeport, were arrested Monday, Dec. 12, on charges of grand larceny, Nassau County Police said.
Officers had been called to the TJ MAXX store in Carle Place, located on Glen Cove Road, with reports of a theft.
Both men were gone by the time officers arrived, but police spotted them a short time later near Glen Cove and Old Country roads and arrested them, police said.

Roosevelt Man Injures Officers Attempting To Arrest Him, Police Say
A Long Island man was nabbed for alleged larceny from Kohl's after assaulting and injuring responding police officers, authorities say.
Julius White, age 35, of Roosevelt, was arrested by Nassau County Police on Tuesday, June 21 at the Kohl's in Jericho.
According to detectives, officers responded to Kohl's located at 28 Jericho Turnpike for a previously committed larceny.
Upon arrival, officers were notified that White, currently in the store, was responsible for an incident that occurred on Monday, May 16, police said.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is cautioning consumers to be aware of potential scams on Amazon Prime Day this year.
Each year, the online retail giant rolls out massive discounts on Prime Day, which is on Monday, June 21, and Tuesday, June 22, with other brick-and-mortar stores such as Walmart, Target, and Kohl’s joining in with sales across the board.
However, according to the BBB, “more deals mean more chances for scammers to capitalize on the buzz and trick shoppers. Be wary of phishing scams, misleading advertisements, and lookalike websites.”
