Long Island Woman Arrested Attempting To Visit Inmate With A Suspended Learner's Permit
A Long Island woman attempting to enter the Riverhead County Correctional Facility with an expired New York State learner’s permit on Thanksgiving Day is now facing charges of her own, the Suffolk County Sheriff announced. Suffolk County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Wyandanch resident Kamar Harris, 23, shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, for third-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to surrender his suspended learner’s permit, when she attempted to visit an inmate at the jail.
