A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with another vehicle on a busy Long Island roadway. The crash happened at around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, in Bay Shore, at the intersection of Richland Boulevard and Howells Road, according to Suffolk County Police. Investigators said a 48-year-old Bay Shore man was driving a Chevrolet Suburban northbound on Richland Avenue when he stopped at a stop sign at Howells Road. Man Killed After Being Struck By Pickup Truck At Long Island Intersection
A man was killed after being struck by a pickup truck at a Long Island intersection overnight. The incident happened just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 in Bay Shore. A 54-year-old Bay Shore man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Howells Road when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in the roadway at the intersection of Manatuck Boulevard, Suffolk County Police said. A bicyclist is hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by the driver of an SUV at a busy Long Island intersection. Suffolk County Police detectives said that Bay Shore resident Taylor Accurso was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe east on Howells Road in Bay Shore when he struck a bicyclist in the roadway at approximately 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Lombardy Boulevard. A man driving a pickup truck was taken into custody on Long Island after repeatedly ramming an Audi on the Meadowbrook State Parkway into New York State Police cruisers and attempting to flee, police said.
