LI Man Charged With Robbing Hotel: Was Already In Jail, Police Say A Long Island man who was already in jail for another robbery and subsequent police chase faces more charges after allegedly stealing cash from a hotel's register in Westchester.  The incident happened on Saturday, Feb. 11 around 4:45 a.m., when police in the city of Rye responded to the Courtyard Marriott located at 631 Midland Ave. for a reported robbery.  Upon arriving, the hotel's front desk agent told officers that a man had entered the hotel around 4:40 a.m. and had demanded money from the register. 5 Nabbed For Selling Vape, E-Cigarettes To Minors On Long Island Five businesses were nabbed for allegedly selling vape and e-cigarettes to minors during a series of compliance checks on Long Island.  The checks took place in Huntington and Copiague on Monday, Nov. 7 at 13 businesses throughout the area. Suffolk County Police said the investigation was in response to receiving numerous community complaints about the sale of vapes and e-cigarettes to minors. An alert was issued by police investigators on Long Island as they seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a wanted man who allegedly targeted an area gas station in March. Police said that the suspect broke a glass window at the Gulf Gas station on Middle Country Road in Lake Grove at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5.
