Covid-19: GOP Minority Whip To Cuomo, 'I’ll Be Having More Than 10 People For Thanksgiving' A New York Republican councilman is defiantly pushing back against Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s mandate that there should be no gatherings of more than 10 people over the holidays, despite a new spike in COVID-19 cases. Staten Island Republican Councilman Joe Borelli, the city council minority whip, declared that he will not be adhering to Cuomo’s mandates, even promoting inter-state travel against the state’s orders.

Covid-19: 12 Violations Issued To Long Island Restaurants, Bars For Breaching Restrictions Twelve bars and restaurants on Long Island were among dozens cited for violating New York's COVID-19 protocols. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that the State Liquor Authority and New York State Police Task Force continued compliance checks on state eateries. In total, 3,375 locations were checked by compliance officers, with 66 establishments being cited for violations.
