17-Year-Old Killed In Old Westbury Crash Between BMW, Bus A 17-year-old was killed during a crash between a car and a NICE bus on Long Island. The crash took place in Old Westbury around 2:50 p.m., Wednesday, March 9 on Glen Cove Road. The male teen was driving a 2019 BMW southbound on Glen Cove Road in the vicinity of Hewlett Drive and crossed over the median, striking a NICE Bus, said the Nassau County Police. The male bus driver, age 63, was traveling northbound on Glen Cover Road, police said. Officer Injured After Police Cruiser Crashes In Nassau County A police officer was hospitalized after being involved in a crash on Long Island. Shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, the officer was driving a Nassau County Police cruiser in Old Westbury on Glen Cove Road near The Pines at the time of the incident. It is unclear what caused the crash, which led to the officer being hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.  According to a report, the officer may have become pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated.
