New Closure Underway For Northern State Parkway In Westbury: Here's When A new five-week project that will close parts of the Northern State Parkway is underway on Long Island. Lasting approximately five weeks, all lanes of the westbound Northern State Parkway between Exits 33 (Wantagh State Parkway) and 31A (Meadowbrook State Parkway) will be closed in Westbury, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
