Three Long Beach Elementary Schools Closed After Student Diagnosed With E. Coli Three elementary schools in Long Beach will be closed on Monday, June 24 after a student was diagnosed with a suspected E. coli infection. The City of Long Beach has been under a “boil water” alert since Friday afternoon, June 21 for possible E.coli contamination.  The district said the closures of the East, West and Lindell schools on Monday were made out of "an abundance of caution."
