Dogfighting Ring Targeted In Nassau County, NYC Raids More than two dozens dogs, drugs and guns were seized during raids in Uniondale and Manhattan in connection with a dogfighting ring. The predawn raids were carried out on Friday, Oct. 11, by the NYPD, in conjunction with the ASPCA, the Manhattan District Attorney's office, the NYPD said. The department said they are currently assisting in the removal, forensic evidence collection, medical care and sheltering of 28 dogs seized from a multi-scene investigation.
