38-Year-Old Charged In Death Of Long Island Man Following Altercation
Police have charged a man following the investigation of the death of a man after an altercation on Long Island earlier this month. The man died on Sunday, Jan. 5 after reporting he was in an altercation in the Riverhead on Thursday, Jan. 2. Wayne Sapiane reported to police that he was struck on the head by a man Suffolk County Police now identify as 38-year-old Daniel Hughes in the area of West Main Street in Riverhead.
