A barred investment broker from Long Island has been admitted to tricking clients into giving him hundreds of thousands of dollars, which he then used to buy luxury cars, plane tickets, and more.
Peter Quartararo, age 57 of Glen Cove, pleaded guilty to his charges of grand larceny and more on Friday, Feb. 9, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.

Five workers at a Long Island restaurant have been charged after a State Liquor Authority inspection overnight which led to the business being shut down.
According to Suffolk County Police, at around 10:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, three patrons inside Casa Bella, located in North Amityville at 577 Broadway, were found in possession of cocaine in plain view.

Man Admits Threatening Wife's Life, Stockpiling Weapons At East Rockaway Home
A Long Island man, who reportedly threatened to kill his wife outside of a hospital, also hoarded several ghost guns, ammunition, and more at his home, authorities said.
Thomas Saxton, age 36 of East Rockaway, entered his guilty plea on Wednesday, Jan. 10, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
Nearly two years earlier, on Feb. 17, 2022, Saxton allegedly threatened to kill his wife while she was holding their 2-year-old child in her arms outside of a Cohen Children’s Hospital in Queens. He was holding a handgun at the time and was arrested by the NYPD.

A bus driver from Queens has been indicted after he allegedly kidnapped and raped a high school student multiple times from Long Island, officials announced.
Giovanny Campos, age 50, was arraigned on Thursday, Nov. 30 for the alleged crimes, which occurred while he worked as a school bus driver in Valley Stream, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.

On Thursday, Aug. 17 at 9:40 p.m., Michael Ezzo, age 46, was arrested on multiple charges of possessing and selling drugs, according to Nassau County Police.
Authorities claim that Ezzo, a Glen Cove resident, sold the following from November to December 2022 in Levittown and East Meadow:
