Long Island Man Stopped For DWI Had License Suspended Or Revoked 27 Times, Cops Say
A Long Island man whose driver's license has been suspended or revoked 27 times was arrested for DWI after being stopped for speeding. Christopher Slattery, 46, of Farmingville, was stopped by Suffolk County Sheriff's deputies around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, for allegedly driving over the speed limit, said Sgt. Paul Spinella. Slattery was stopped on the Long Island Expressway in Brookhaven after he was clocked driving 75 mph when the posted speed limit was 55 mph, said Spinella.
