The incident was reported at around 6:20 p.m. at a home in Brentwood, located on Commack Road near Montauk Avenue. Two Injured After Explosion At Long Island Business Two employees of a Long Island gas company were seriously burned during an explosion. The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 8, at Paraco Gas, located on Corbin Avenue in Bay Shore, said the Suffolk County Police. The explosion occurred when the two employees were filling propane tanks when a small explosion, police said. Long Island Man Seriously Injured After Crashing Following Attempted Traffic Stop A man was seriously injured after crashing into a pole after an attempted traffic stop overnight after an attempted traffic stop on Long Island. A Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Patrol officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a 1992 Honda coupe, being driven by Ardwin Roberto Pena, age 24, of Deer Park, in the vicinity of Commerce Drive in Hauppauge at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16. Three Children Treated For Carbon Monoxide Poisoning After Being Exposed At Long Island Home Three children were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning after they were exposed at a Long Island residence.  Officers responded to a 911 call of a carbon monoxide alarm at the Bay Shore residence on Lincoln Boulevard at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. Carbon monoxide detectors alerted first responders to high levels of the gas in the basement and first floors of the home, Suffolk County Police said.
