Shot Fired: Shoplifter Flees Valley Stream Mall After Altercation Police are searching for a man who fired a shot in a Long Island mall after he was allegedly caught shoplifting. It happened on Monday, Oct. 23 in Valley Stream, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 11:15 a.m. at the Green Acres Mall, located at 1015 Green Acres Mall, Sunrise Highway, the suspect attempted to shoplift clothes from Clique, a store on the mall’s second floor.
