Long Island Motorist Who Drifted Between Lanes Charged With Aggravated DWI, Sheriff Says A swerving Long Island driver was allegedly driving with a blood alcohol content nearly triple the legal limit when he was stopped on Sunrise Highway, the Sheriff’s Office announced. Stony Brook resident Anthony Amato, 38, was stopped by a Suffolk County Sheriff’s deputy shortly before 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 when he was spotted drifting between lanes on the highway in Islip.
