Shots rang out on Prospect Street near the intersection of 45th Street in North Amityville at approximately 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14, with two bullets striking the man, who was standing outside an area home. Police said that after the man was shot, the driver proceeded to drive off without stopping.
