Grab-Run Theft: Trio Make Off With $24K In Versace Handbags At Manhasset Store Police are searching for a man and two women who allegedly made off with more than $24,000 in handbags from a Versace store on Long Island. The incident took place in Nassau County around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Versace store in Manhasset, located at 2006 Northern Blvd. According to detectives, a man, and two women entered the store and grabbed various bags, and exited the store without making a payment.  The bags were valued in excess of $24,000 dollars, police said. 45-Year-Old Killed After Being Struck By Car At Long Island Intersection Police are investigating a fatal crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 in Copiague. Baudilio Zamora, age 45, of Copiague, was crossing Sunrise Highway southbound at the intersection of Bethpage Road when he was struck by a 2019 Nissan Altima being driven by a 33-year-old Hicksville man, Suffolk County Police said. Zamora was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Officer of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.  The Altima driver was not injured. Driver Injured After Shooting Leads To Crash At Long Island Intersection An investigation is underway after a man was shot in broad daylight leading to a crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened on Friday, Nov. 5 at 11:10 a.m. in North Amityville. A 21-year-old man was driving a 2019 Nissan Altima eastbound on Brefni Street when he was shot by an occupant of another vehicle at the intersection of Geraldine Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. The Altima then crashed into a fence. The victim was transported in a private vehicle to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Long Island Man Nabbed With Loaded Handgun During Traffic Stop, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested after police said he was found in possession of a loaded handgun during a traffic stop. Justin Soodhoo, age 20, of Coram, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Police said officers initiated a traffic stop at about 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2 after seeing a 2019 Nissan Altima driving erratically on Grant Smith Road in Coram.
